Casali del Barone, Gavi 2023

Casali del Barone is one of the labels of the Vallebeldo Cooperative; a winery made up of 150 small growers who come together to produce their wine as one. Calling the region of Piedmont home, they focus on the rich reds and elegant whites for which the north of Italy is best known. Gavi 2023 is taken from grapes grown in southern Gavi DOCG in Piedmont where the altitude is slightly lower and climate slightly warmer. Made from 100% Cortese, it has pronounced mineral notes along with some citrus and blossom. Fresh, fruit-driven and with a finish of salty, bitter almond; it's a great wine to pair all kinds of seafood.
